IMPORTANT PASSES, LARKYA LA 5200m (Manaslu) AND THORONG LA 5415m
(Annapurna) Trek of sustained rhythm. A superb trek, without
technical difficulties, that demands endurance from those who
already have a good experience of trek. This trek does in one
part the circuit of Manaslu by a pass at 5200m to end up in the
Annapurnas by a pass of 5416m in the second part. From wild and
little known Nepal, from small villages to great summits, imposing
landscapes and panoramas on the numerous great sumits. A trek
of great variety that permits to have an excellent encounter
with the multifarious facets of Nepal and her different ethnic
groups. From 5 to 7h of walk per day. |

|
D.I : Arrival in Kathmandu
(alt 1300M). Welcome at the aéroport. and transfer to
the hotel . Hotel included
D.2 :Free day in Kathmandu
D.3. Leaving Kathmandu in
bus for Gorkha (1143m), point of start of trek. Visit of temples
and palaces.
D.4. Leaving for Maitar following
the river Daraundi Khola (to be followed for several days). This
is the wild Nepal, little known to tourism. Numerous villages
and different ethnic groups.
D.5. Following the river
to arrive in Arkhol (810m).
D.6. Leaving for Milim (850m).
D.7. We leave Milim for Barbak
(1750m) by passing through Ralung, Gurung and Tamang village.
D.8. Leaving Barbak, by crossing
Danda Pass (2730m) for Laprak (2000m).
D.9. Leaving Laprak for Tatopani
(1500m, natural hot spring).
D.10. Leaving for Jagat (1250m).
D.11. Leaving for Ngyak (2250m), beginning of long uphill
walk for several days towards the first high pass.

Leaving
for Ghap (3000m).
D.13.
Leaving
for Sho (3000m).
D.14. Leaving for Sama Gaon
(3000m/7h), intimate panorama on Manaslu and visit of the monastery
of Sama.

Uphill
walk towards Larkya Bazar (4000m, 5h), rest/acclimatization,
we are near Tibet.
D.16. Leaving for Guest House
(4600m/3h) - this is the base camp of Larkya La pass. Acclimatization.
D.17. Leaving early in the
morning (4 AM) towards Larkya La pass 5200m, to descend to Bhimthang
at 3500m. Long walk of 8h where we discover numerous summits,
like North Peak (7154m), Larkya Peak, Naike Peak, etc.
D.18. Walk through the pine
forests to reach Karche (2750m/7h), passing through several villages
and rivers.
D.19. Leaving for Bargarchap
(2000m / 7h) - now we are in the region of Annapurnas.
D.20. Leaving for Chame (2713m),
first Tibetan village.
D.21. Leaving for Pisang (3165m
/ 6h).
D.22. Leaving for Manang (3351m),
typical Tibetan village with monasteries and stupas, views on
Annapurnas II and IV, and Gangapurna.
D.23.
Leaving
for Thorong Phedi (4420m).
D.24. Leaving very early in
the morning with electric lamps to cross the Thorong La pass
(5400m) before 8AM because of violent winds that blow around
the pass. Descent to Muktinath (3800m / 9h of walk).
D.25. Leaving Muktinath for
Jomsom (gateway of Mustang)
D.26 Jomsom for Pokhara by
Plane 30mn. Hotel included.
D.27. Leaving from Pokhara
for Kathmandu by tourist bus. ). (if you like come back to Kathmandu
by flying over the Himalayas, it will be 75 dollars per person
supplementary which is not include in this price)
D.28. Free day in Kathmandu.

Treks
in lodge with standard hotel:
welcome at airport,transfer
hotel / airport. standard hotel with breakfast inclusive rooms
with shower, hot water near the center of Thamel. All treks are
in full board. Accommodation and meals in the Lodges (good
quality locale food, the meals are not order by each client in
every lodge, but following the menu proposed by the guide).
All the transports (go/back on the places of trek and during
the trek). Accompany by a professional Guide and one porter for
2 persons to carry your bags (maximum 20 kg for 2 persons). Trekking
permit and reconfirmation of your return plane ticket.

Trekking equipments,
professional Guide, kitchen boy and porters. Lodging under tent,
meals are prepared by cook. |

TREK UNDER TENT: Camping trek includes a team of guide,
assistant, cook & porters to accompany you. Porters carry
all trekking gears, food, fuel, & personal belongings, and
cook and assistants prepares hot meals. Trekkers carry only small
bag or what they might need during the day. we provide dining
tents, sleeping tents, mattress and toilet tents. |

TREK IN LODGE. The lodges are simple mountain shelters,
providing meals (very good local food) and simple rooms with
2 or 4 beds (Only in Ledhar and Phedi, it is a common dormitory).
In each lodge, you find a room with water (same as shower) for
bath. The treks in lodge pass in a very convivial atmosphere
permitting to have a closer look of Nepalese mountain life and
to encounter new person every day. It also permits to be in warm
room (kitchen and restaurant room) in cold season

FOOD DURING
TREK: Base of meals during
the trek are, rice, noodles, potatoes, (porridge for breakfast).
all are slow-sugar, its the best food for well walking. In lodge-trek
the lunch is taken in lodges on the way ( hot meal). The guide
order the food |

Note: All participants have to give a copy
of their insurance, with the address, tel and fax number of insurance
company. This insurance has to cover the helicopter rescue in
case of accident or sickness. In case of your insurance don't
cover helicopter rescue, you have to fill a form in Kathmandu
and make agreement that you will pay yourself the amount of expenses
paid by Nepal Ecology Treks for your helicopter rescue or research.
Without this agreement, you cannot participate in trek.
** In
trek the guide is allowed
to change the itinerary, depending of the weather, climate and
the physical condition of participants. Each participant who
stop his trek or make this trek more-fast cannot ask any money
compensation to the agency. |
