Day 01 Delhi / Leh (Flight)
Early in the morning transfer to airport for flight to Leh. On
arrival transfer to hotel. Leh is the capital of Ladakh. (3500m)
After few hours of rests to get used to the altitude. Visit Leh
palace and Leh Bazaar. Overnight in hotel stander.
Day 02 Leh
After breakfast visit SHANKAR monastery, 20 minutes walk form
Lhe Bazar. Monastery is belong to monk Sakya Pa. Many precious
and golden objects to be seen. Visit Santi Stupa and at the end
Visit and Tsemo Monastery( temples of Maitreya and Avalokiteshvara
Buddha) Good view of the Lhe Bazar from the monastery. Afternoon
free.Night hotel in Leh.Leh.
Day 03 Leh - Kargil
(Jeep)
Morning after an early breakfast drive 230 kms to Kargil (3440
M) which is also the half way point of SrinagarLeh highway. It
is also the second largest town after Leh in Ladakh. Arrive and
overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04 Kargil - Ringdom
(Jeep)
Morning after an early breakfast drive to Ringdom (7-8 hours
approx.). Overnight stay in tents.
Day 05 Ringdom - Padum
(Jeep)
Morning after breakfast visit ringdom Gompa proceed to Padum
(7-8 hours approx.). Padum is the capital town of Zanskar. Overnight
stay in tents.
Day 06 Padum
Sightseeing of Padum and surroundings, visit Pipi Tong and Stagnimo
monasteries. Overnight in tented camp.
Day 07 Padum - Karsha
- Pishu (Trek)
Morning after breakfast start your onward trek to Karsha (3610
M) by covering approx. 7 kms in 3 hrs approx crossing the Doda
river. A 15th century Gelupa Monastery (populary known as Karsha
Gompa) dominates the scene. Proceed to Pishu (3665 M) by covering
approx. 13 kms in 4 hrs approx along the river Zanskar. An easy
days trek. Pishu has a nice camping site. Arrive and overnight
stay in tents.
Day 08 Pishu - Hanumil
(Trek)
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Hanumil (3960
M) by covering approx. 14 kms in 4-5 hrs through Pidmu after
continuing to the left bank of river Zanskar. Arrive and overnight
stay in tents.
Day 09 Hanumil - Purfi
La/Snertse (Trek)
Morning after breakfast start trekking to reach Snertse (3745
M/15 kms). After crossing a steep and difficult climb to the
pass, Purfila (3900 M). From the pass it is a steep descent upon
Omachu river and from there it is about one km climb upto a wonderful
Campsite at Snertse. Arrive and overnight stay in tents.
Day 10 Snertse - Hanumala/Lingshet
(Trek)
After early breakfast start trek, today is a long and gradual
ascent towards Hanumala through the gorges first, then easier.
After about 2 hours pass the sheepfold, a further about 2 to
3 hours reach the summit of the Hanumala (4700 M). Then there
is about a 1000 metre steep descent, a short climb along the
mountain side Glaciers and finally a steep descent to Lingshet
(3770 M). Camp near the monastery. Overnight in tents.
Day 11 Lingshet - Foot
of Shingla
Early morning after breakfast start trekking to the base of Singla,
6 - 7 hrs approx. Dinner & overnight in camp.
Day 12 Foot of Shingela
- Shingela - Photoksar (Trek)
Early morning after break start climb up the Shingela Pass (5230
M) which takes about 2 hours. Shingela means the lion's pass
which is also the highest pass on this trek. First the climb
is through the terminal Moraine and then through the long Glacier.
The climb is not steep but the Descent through the steep Glacieris
a little difficult. Proceed to Photoskar village is a town of
clusters of Homes, Green Fields and a Gompa above in a dark brown
cut crop. Arrive dinner & overnight stay in tents.
Day 13 Photoksar -
Sirsir La - Hanupatta (Trek)
Morning after breakfast start trekking (6-7 hours approx.) to
reach Hanupatta (3770 M) after crossing Sirsir La (4800 M). The
climb to the pass is steep but the descent is gentle. Arrive
and overnight stay in tents.
Day 14 Hanupatta -
Wanla or Shila (Trek)
Morning after breakfast start trekking (6-7 hours approx.) to
reach Wanla (3645 M). Wanla is a small town with its Maroon and
white Monastery Perched above the town on a knife edged ridge.
Arrive or proceed to Shila (about 30 minutes easy walk which
is another nice camping site) and overnight stay in tents.
Day 15 Wanla - Lamayuru
- Leh (Trek/Jeep)
Morning after breakfast start trekking (4-5 hours approx.) to
reach Lamayuru (3510 M). Lamayuru Gompa is one of the most impressive
and well maintained monasteries in Ladakh. Arrive and visit Monastery.
Proceed to Leh by jeep (4 hrs approx), enroute visit Alchi monastry.
Overnight in hotel.
Day 16 Visit the monastery
of Shey, Thiksey and Hemis
After late breakfast full day excursion to Hemis, Thiksey, Shey
monasteries. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 17 Leh / Delhi
(Flight)
Transfer to domestic airport in time to board flight for Delhi.

under tent, all the transports (go/back on the places of trek
and during the trek). Entrances fee of monuments and monasteries
Accompanied by a professional guide, and Minimum 3 Horses, Donkey
or Mules for 2 persons to carry your bags and equipments (maximum
25 kg for 2 persons). Meals are prepared by cook and kitchen
boy. IN Leh: Welcome at the airport, transfer hotel/airport.

with historic arts of the Tibetan religion which represents the
daily life's of Ladakihis. In several months Villages are completely
isolated by the snow every year. |
